Nutz & Boltz Stuffed Dates

Name a better combo than sweet and salty. This chocolate peanut butter pretzel stuffed treat will be your new favourite dessert or snack. These stuffed dates will blow you away. This combination might be one of the best I've come up with. It tastes just like an Oh Henry bar but better! This is truly nature’s candy bar 100% vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free. The trick is to use crunchy peanut butter for that extra crunch. This is a freezer staple in my household. The perfect night time snack or midday pick me up. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer until all is eaten up!


12 dates, pitted and halved

¼ cup crunchy peanut butter

6 pretzels, crushed

¼ cup dark chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil

Sea salt flakes 

1. Using a sharp knife make an incision along the length of each date, but try not to cut the date in half.

2. Remove the pits from the dates if needed.

3. In a small bowl add ¼ cup crunchy peanut butter and 6 pretzels, mash up with a spoon or fork until the pretzels are broken down.

4. Dollop the peanut butter pretzel mixture into each date, stuff generously.

5. In a small bowl, add coconut oil and dark chocolate and place in the microwave for 30-second intervals until all the chocolate is melted. Drizzle the filled dates with melted chocolate and sprinkle over sea salt flakes. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes or until the chocolate solidifies. Enjoy!
